Itty Bitty On an Irish Tour! Dublin, Killkenny & Cliffs of Moher!
Last month was awesome :) Seriously it was a big month! As well as finding our 3 new team members, Al and I did 2 business trips down south (to the Republic of Ireland for you non locals haha)
At the start of July we finished up a sales programme I was on (was a great experience and really gave me confidence to approach new/bigger retailers). So with that under our belts we set off to Waterstones, Kilkenny Design Centre and the Cliffs of Moher Welcome Centre!Please excuse the grainy selfie but that was just as we walked out of Hodges & Figgis - the oldest book shop in Ireland - owned by waterstones. We had a really great meeting with the buyer and he agreed to trial our Books!!!
Our visit to kilkenny was next, we had been before (camping years ago!) but I had forgotten what a beautiful bustling town it is! We walked about the town/castle before heading to the Design Centre where we could have spent all day just browsing, the range of products/artwork they have there is fantastic and nearly all Irish designed & made. From September onward you will also be able to find Itty Bitty Books, Cards and Irish Linen wall banners there! :)
Our West Coast stop was County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher welcome centre gift shop. We have been before a number of times but that view just never gets old! They get over 1,000,000 visitors each year and we can see why. We stayed in a tiny coastal village called Doolin - highly recommend it! Our meeting there went really well too and we're still in talks with them so fingers crossed and positive vibes please!
Since sharing some of this on our social media, 2 other gift shops have got in touch with us to stock our products and a few of you guys recommended your favourites for us to contact too - thank you so much we love it when you do that.
It's just been a whirlwind month... Itty Bitty is expanding and we are SO excited! Next post I'll introduce our 3(!) new team members!!!
