Earlier this year I was asked to come and share my experience of starting and running a small business. The event was for people at the very beginning of their entrepreneurial journeys so when I was planning my talk I thought about the type of things I would have wanted to hear at that stage. I knew a timeline story of our highlights and wins wouldn't be very helpful so I took a totally different approach.
I was so nervous because I share very personal experiences and talk at length about our business struggles and difficult times. But thankfully, my honesty seems to have connected with people and I’ve had so much kindness coming my way since sharing this on our social media platforms. Lots of people have said that it was useful and refreshing to hear a real, not sugar-coated start up story
