We believe it is our responsibility as business owners to ‘do well by doing good’. On top of that to also be physically giving back to a cause we believe in.
Our book of strength was designed specifically with this in mind, it was created initially for Al's sister Selina and her husband James who are grieving the loss of their beautiful son Connor. The book is dedicated to him. We hoped it might bring a little comfort, to them and those in a similar circumstance, with words of gentle encouragement and hope. We could never have imagined how many lives it would touch or how many times I’d end up in tears (happy and sad!), we are so privileged our wonderful customers choose to share their stories with us… This book has by far been the most rewarding part of this business for us.
In our very first year in business Itty Bitty Book Co donated £2000. Our chosen charity is the friends of PICU charity. They are a charity close to my families hearts who provide vital care and medical equipment to sick babies and children. Based in the Paediatric intensive care unit at Southampton Childrens hospital in England. The care and support provided to our family members by the PICU staff and the charity was flawless ♥
